Mission
To provide the information, support and encouragement parents need to help their children develop optimally during the crucial early years of life.
Parents as Teachers serves as a parental education and family support program, to families from pregnancy until the child has entered kindergarten (around age 5).
Our vision is for every child to reach their full potential through development, growth, and learning regardless of demographic, geographic, or economic considerations.
What exactly does PAT do?
1. Personal Visits: Certified parent educators help parents to observe their child, address certain parenting concerns, share age-appropriate child development information, and engage families in meaningful parent/child interactive activities
2. Parent Group Meetings: Share information with other parents as well as act as support for one another
3. Screenings: Periodic early identification screenings for developmental delays or health, vision, and hearing problems
4. Resource Network:Help connect parents with resources and overcoming barriers to accessing needed services
