Coos County Testing Data

COVID-19 Updates for Today

• In addition to our fifteenth positive case, Coos County Public Health knows of 607 COVID-19 tests that have been administered to county residents. 40 of these tests are pending results and 607 are negative.
• Oregon Health Authority has reported 2,446 positive cases of COVID-19 (61 new cases) in Oregon, as well as 101 deaths (2 new deaths) to date.
• As of April 29, 2020, the CDC reported 1,005,147 total cases (23,901 new cases) and 57,505 total deaths (2,247 new deaths) in the United States.
• As of April 29, 2020, Johns Hopkins reports that 120,433 individuals have recovered (5,035 new recoveries) from COVID-19 in the United States.
• As of April 29, 2020, the World Health Organization reports 3,018,952 confirmed cases (66,276 new cases) and 207,973 deaths (5,376 new deaths).
• New Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA or Act) comes into effect on April 1st requires certain employers to provide their employees with paid sick leave and expanded family and medical leave for specified reasons related to COVID-19. These provisions will apply from April 1, 2020 through December 31, 2020.

• The next COVID-19 situation update will be sent on April 30, 2020. We are not sending out updates on the weekend because official counts from CDC are only updated on Mondays through Fridays.
