Coos County Testing Data

COVID-19 Updates for Today

• Coos County received its fifteenth positive case today.
• In addition to our fifteenth positive case, Coos County Public Health knows of 548 COVID-19 tests that have been administered to county residents. 13 of these tests are pending results and 520 are negative.
• Oregon Health Authority has reported 2,354 positive cases of COVID-19 (177 new cases) in Oregon, as well as 92 deaths (6 new deaths) to date.
• As of April 27, 2020, the CDC reported 957,875 total cases (92,290 new cases) and 53,922 total deaths (5,106 new deaths) in the United States.
• As of April 27, 2020, Johns Hopkins reports that 110,598 individuals have recovered (13,925 new recoveries) from COVID-19 in the United States.
• As of April 27, 2020, the World Health Organization reports 2,878,196 confirmed cases (85,530 new cases) and 198,668 deaths (4,982 new deaths).
• New Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA or Act) comes into effect on April 1st requires certain employers to provide their employees with paid sick leave and expanded family and medical leave for specified reasons related to COVID-19. These provisions will apply from April 1, 2020 through December 31, 2020.

• The next COVID-19 situation update will be sent on April 28, 2020. We are not sending out updates on the weekend because official counts from CDC are only updated on Mondays through Fridays.
