COVID-19 Updates for Today

  • In addition to our first positive case, Coos County Public Health knows of 385 COVID-18 tests that have been administered to county residents. 17 of these tests are pending results and 367 are negative.
  • Oregon Health Authority has reported 1,663 positive cases of COVID-19 (30 new cases) in Oregon, as well as 58 deaths (3 new deaths) to date.
  • As of April 15, 2020, the CDC reported 605,390 total cases (26,385 new cases) and 24,582 total deaths (2,330 new deaths) in the United States.
  • As of April 15, 2020, the World Health Organization reported 1,914,916 confirmed cases (70,082 new cases) and 123,010 deaths (5,989 new deaths).
  • New Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA or Act) comes into effect on April 1st requires certain employers to provide their employees with paid sick leave and expanded family and medical leave for specified reasons related to COVID-19. These provisions will apply from April 1, 2020 through December 31, 2020.
